code P1203 Cyl 3 injector circuit open/shorted-permanent. That is a fairly specific error, relating to an electrical fault somewhere between the ECU & the injector. 3 hours ago, Revatron said: perhaps suggests that the problem could be the connection to the injector rather than the injector itself,
The battery needs to be a calcium one as the issue is nearly always related to cold weather starting, not summer. And the other less obvious one is the starter motor drawing too much current and hence this drops the voltage and causes starting issues, because the electronics is not got enough volts and it doesn't rotate fast enough.Hi thanks for the reply much appreciated . the coolant was high and still pressurised yesterday even when the engine was stone cold so i removed the header tank cap slowly and took some coolant out i allowed the removed coolant to settle and noticed extremely fine specs of black dust on the surface of the removed coolant . now it appears that exhaust gasses are getting into the coolant . myI have a 2008 ford focus 1.8tdci %2C 127000miles on the clock. Problem is when I start the car from cold the engine runs rough and is very hesitant below 2k revs but after a mile it's gone and remains gone until it's cold again. It's showing no faults except for egr but that was only once.
