There are 2 set of masteries. Soto and PoF. If you do Soto, you'll have soto masteries and whatever those masteries give (its all written in description of masteries and on the blog post). 1. Skyscale is probably superior but I like the Springer better and I have a plan. With fully upgraded mount, glider and jade bot I should be able to get a faster ascent and further horizontal flight out of high rabbit jump to glider to updraft than I could get with the skyscale.
I assume I wasn't the only a bit distressed by the amount of stardust needed to complete all the weapon collections in Amnytas. Don't fret ! While events have their own additional benefits (exp, achievements and so on), eating magic orbs on skyscale is actually much more effective to get stardust quickly.

There will be two sets of the the same mastery track, but basically if you do both tracks then your perks get extras. This isn't a time limitted thing - you are not rewarded for already having the skyscale in a way thats unfair to people.
